Update III: Thanks everyone for your submissions. Please see the image I uploaded. Please see that the middle of the shield is convex/bulges out. Please try to make the middle of the shield appear this way as it's the most defining feature of a pavise shield. Please either have no letters on the shield OR have the "P" in the middle section with "C" and "M" on the left and right, respectively. Please have the "C" and "M" slightly below the "P".

Update II: Thanks everyone for the submissions. Please do not incorporate a sword in the designs. Also, on the on front of the shield, I'd either prefer "PCM" or not letters at all. Regarding the shield itself, the convex ridge in the middle of the shield is not taller than the rest of the shield. The base of the shield should be flat – the shield as it was used would be stuck into the ground. Along the middle of the shield should be simple represented as rounded/convex

Update: When incorporate an image of a shield, please make the design actually look like a pavise. I will not accept any design that has a generic looking shield instead of a pavise. The most distinguishing feature of a pavise aside from it being a large shield which was used to cover the entire body of a crossbower is the ridge that is typically in the middle of the shield. Please refer to the wikipedia article

Regarding the design of the logo's text. I think either "Pavise" is on one line and "Capital Management" is on a second line or all 3 words "Pavise Capital Management" would be on one line. Examples of logos that I think are good are as follows:

https://www.omega-advisors.com/
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citadel_LLC

The reason why I like these is because the logo design itself is so simple that even a 7 year old could draw the design, perhaps not to the exact design but something with a similarity.

Priorities: (1) Design is simple, clean and elegant (2) We'd preferably like to incorporate an element of a pavise (shield) in the logo but it is not absolutely critical

We are an investment management firm that invests in stocks. The premise in which we invest is based on using research to identify long-term trends while looking for short term catalysts (aka event triggers) in the short run to capture returns for our investors. A pavise is a shield (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pavise). We chose the name to highlight the defensive nature of our investing style.
