Rasa Rumah or RASA RUMAH

Ten months ago, I started a cooking blog to journal my project of making an Indonesian food cookbook for Indonesian college students who study overseas http://theindonesiancollegecookbookproject.blogspot.com/. The project got big and there has been high demand of my recipes. I did not post my recipes on the blog, but has been selling copies of the cookbook. I realised that printing copies could be inefficient.

The cookbook title "Rasa Rumah" means "taste of home" in Indonesian. Rasa means taste. Rumah means home.

I am thinking of turning my cookbook into a professional website where I post my recipes there. I need a logo for the new website.

The website would look clean with white background, and the pictures of food I would use would all be flatlays with either a white marble background http://theindonesiancollegecookbookproject.blogspot.com/2015/07/the-second-food-tasting-tuesday.html or a wooden background as shown in my current blog. I would still have a blogging function of the blog, but will use it primarily to share my recipes and allow people to contribute their recipes in my website too.

The concept would be clean, simple and kind of hipster. The inspiration for my new website would be:

The primary target audience would be Indonesian college students who are studying abroad, mostly in USA, Australia, Japan, Germany, UK, South Korea, etc. The secondary target audience would be Indonesian students who are studying within Indonesia. Indonesians in general have a consumerism culture, but value simple yet sophisticated design. The peripheral target audience would be any other English-speaking college students who are interested in cooking Indonesian food. Basically, keep in mind that I will have a culturally diverse target audience. Make a universal design.

I have described my concept and theme above. I do not have a certain design I want in mind, so this is the place to use your creativity.

There is a high demand for this website, so whoever's design gets chosen, the logo would be worth designing for!
