    DESCRIPTION. I am requesting a logo for use on the web with an element that can be easily translated to a program/web icon (32 x 32 px). The product is StudioWorks. It is a software program that is used by (primarily) dance studios to manage class registrations (online and in-studio), student information, scheduling, billing, reporting, etc. While our primary market is dance studios with students ranging from toddlers through adults, we have plans to expand into other, non-dance related markets. Companies who have similar solutions are MindBody, TheStudioDirector.com, and Amilia.com.

    ABOUT OUR CUSTOMERS. The majority of our customers are companies in the fine arts world and are predominately owned by women. That is not to say that we want to the logo to be feminine, but it is important to understand that our customer is very much in tune with aesthetics and balance. A logo focusing on the technical aspects of our software will be off-putting. I will not accept a design that is overtly dance-oriented (e.g. ballet shoes, dancing bodies, etc.) because we would like to appeal equally to park districts, comedy classes, karate studios, etc.

    DESIGN NOTES. I am looking for something that is simple but impactful that alludes to the idea that we help manage the difficult/tedious/time-consuming part of your job so that you can focus your time and energy on what you do bests, creating classes/programs that are engaging for your customers.
