1. Purpose
The groundTruth global data platform combines the best of human and machine intelligence in order to help multinational corporations and international non-governmental organizations make wise business decisions and anticipate disruption in emerging economies. The data platform will accomplish this by offering real-time updates on the drivers of conflict in countries where businesses have an interest in investing and growing their operations in order to be globally competitive.

2. Background
groundTruth global is an initiative of PeaceTech Lab. PeaceTech Lab works to reduce violent conflict using technology, media, and data to accelerate and scale peacebuilding efforts. An independent nonprofit organization, the Lab brings together engineers and activists, MBAs and conflict experts, social scientists, data scientists, and other innovators to develop effective peacebuilding solutions.

3. Goals
The goal of this design project is to establish a unique groundTruth global brand identity that will appeal to a corporate audience. Since the data platform is a risk assessment and early warning tool, a design will ideally convey the ideas of trust, security, and dependability. What makes groundTruth global unique is its diversity: the platform draws from both global and local data networks (for example, information at a city level, as opposed to just country level). These networks include everything from information collected by farmers and housewives in emerging economies through a handheld app, to advanced, cutting-edge techniques in data mining and AI.
