Introduction
You’re designing front cover only for children's counting skills workbook. It should be simple, clean, with the right amount of colours to capture attention and have enough graphical elements to both indicate that future books are in the same series, but also able to distinguish individual books at a simple glance. (Maybe think about how you’d do that with the next cover in the series to help with the first?)

Needs to prominently show book title and also age applicability and publisher.

Background/canvas - no complex imagery or gradients, white/natural preferred.

Please create some frame/boundary or other typographical elements to indicate edges of the book.

Rectangles work well for this series - https://amzn.to/365ivKl

Parallel lines work too - https://amzn.to/2ZtUbPO

Bottom block is good here, top just about works with good text positioning - https://amzn.to/2QtYxlM

This series has none and it does not work on screen in web-commerce setting - https://amzn.to/2t657a9

If it fits with your design you could leave some space for indication of the content, such as in this series https://amzn.to/366UdPV, however in much smaller and less prominent space.

Cover Art Specification
You should include a dinosaur on the cover. It can be very simplistic or only an outline (https://bit.ly/353KKHR). It should be recognisable one, or one that can be matched to true historic animal (https://bit.ly/2ZxVcXd). You don’t have to draw it but must accredit/provide reference/source.

Do use child friendly depictions such as these https://bit.ly/2t675ax or https://bit.ly/39iOhFC, do not use view from profile https://bit.ly/39hnTMm.
