Art is something that makes you breathe with a different kind of happiness. For an artist, it’s impossible to breathe without creating pleasing art. This week, ‘Being An Artist’ introduces a marvelous artist from Eastern Europe whose love for art started from the age of 13. Meet our Artist, Arina Stelya.
Arina is a graphic designer as well as a student who loves to create various types of industrial and product designs. She started her artistic journey at the age of 13 and practiced drawing in various styles.
She loves to create ceramics sculptures and make drawings, sketches, product designs, etc. While completing her art education, she started as a freelance graphic designer and has opened her online store at PrintShop.
When We Asked About Her Art Journey. She said,
“You can call me a diverse artist who is not only into graphic designing but loves to create professional industrial and product designs as well. I live in the Republic of Moldova, Europe and started my artistic career when I was just 13. I joined an art school to live the extraordinary art world that overwhelmed me a lot. Since then, I have started working hard for my passion. I used to read art-literature about compositional and color rules, and inspirational painter’s lives. I have practiced drawing in various styles and have come to master universal art styles. Till now, I have discovered a lot of potential in various disciplines of art. Today, I have mastered creating ceramic sculptures, drawing, sketches, product, and graphic design. Moreover, I work as a freelancer while studying art and have completed a lot of business projects.”
PrintShop: What’s your process of creating a piece of Artwork and what type of Tools and Techniques do you use?
Arina: For creating a piece of Artwork I use programs such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Solidworks and KeyShot.
I always try to improve my skills and learn more about such tools and programs. Generally. I use different techniques and styles. I combine them to get a high-quality result.
For instance, if I work branding cosmetics, I create something elegant, gentle, modern or minimalistic. I use pastel shades, floral/minimal/spot/geometric patterns, thin lines, light pleasant background colors, and bright accents to attract attention to the logo.
Also, I keep in mind that such artwork should create an aesthetic pleasure and a strong designer to buy it, to use it. After all, the motive behind creating such art and designs is to get noticed.
PrintShop: How do you Find Inspiration and Stay Creative?
Arina: For me, life is an art and I cannot imagine my life without it. The art plays a huge part in my full-value existence. That’s why I find inspiration in all little things that a normal person generally ignores.
It can be the harmony of nature, warm family’s atmosphere, sources of information: books, internet, different art, and design platforms, analysis of popular art-people. Positivity, the harmony of my soul and love of life help me to stay creative all the time. To be honest, I feel blessed.
PrintShop: Did you face any Challenges in your Artistic Journey? If yes, How did you overcome it?
Arina: When I face any challenges in my artistic journey, I overcome it with pleasure and thankfulness. As, I know that after finishing work, I will have more valuable experience and I will improve my skills.
For instance, while working on any project, I study the theme, ask the client what colors and style he would like to have and then I analyze other works. After I pick up all the necessary information, I make sketches, select proper colors and styles to satisfy the theme.
Then, I do the main work: I create different elements, patterns, lettering, illustration. I combine it to obtain the perfect artwork and then make some version of it.
Eventually, I show it to clients and after feedback, we make some changes, after that artwork is completely done and ready to gladden people.
The process is simple. You should be able to receive feedback from your clients and act accordingly. If you follow this, there won’t be any hurdles in your career or art journey.
PrintShop: What is the best advice you’ve gotten as An Artist or the most important thing you’ve learned?
Arina: The main thing I realized being an artist is to be yourself and go on your way. It sounds quite usual or ordinary. But, when you find the harmony in you and will have strong confidence in what you are doing, you will inevitably achieve whatever you want.
Simple prescription, but how many people end their lives without knowing who they are and what they can. Follow your heart. As simple as that.
