Murat Demir

“I’m a 23 years old Turk boy from Istanbul and I’m crazy about art, music and body-building. I mostly try to improve myself in all the appropriate ways. Whether it’s an art, my body or life, I always believed in improvements and moving on with what my heart says. For as long as I’ve known myself, I’ve always been in art. But, I realized it when I bought my first camera. My artistic life has started by taking photographs. Then, I’ve started editing my photos, the more edited my photos, the more I’ve gotten in manipulation. Later, I’ve started learning Photoshop by myself. After doing a few projects, I realized this was what I always wanted. Then, I told myself that I should share my art with people. Therefore, I decided to take this road and moved on with it. Now, I’m receiving a lot of beautiful words and seeing people liking my art makes me so happy. They find their dreams in my dreams. They find peace in my artworks. What else I need?”

PrintShop: What’s your process of creating a piece of artwork and what tools and techniques do you use?

Murat: The inspiration always comes at the wrong time (mostly, it does). When it comes to me, I immediately draw a sketch, and then I use Photoshop.

If it comes at the right time, I collect the materials that I need and start doing it on Photoshop. I don’t do any extra things when I start doing my design.

PrintShop: How do you find inspiration and stay creative?

Murat: Actually, finding inspiration is about looking. And I know where to look. I often look at the sky. The universe is full of inspiration and creativity. Except for this, I love space. Space is always full of inspirational things.

Apart from that, I check over other artists’ work. It’s good to see others’ imagination and ideas getting together on their designs. I’m continuously searching and analyzing to stay creative.

On and on I’m trying to improve myself on a new art branch because all of them within the other. And that’s driving me crazy, marvelous!

PrintShop: Did you face any challenges in your artistic journey? If yes, How did you overcome it?

Murat: The hardest part of my artistic journey was catching people’s attention. Of course, I can’t achieve that success for all of my designs but sometimes it’s hard to accept that as an artist. But isn’t that exactly what led us to success? To try to do the best.

PrintShop: What is the best advice you’ve gotten as an artist or the most important thing you’ve learned?

Murat: The best advice I’ve gotten is “acceptance comes with the terms”. Because many friends of mine are feeling bad when people don’t like their designs.

What I remind them and the only advice that I want to tell those who ask me about that subject that you can’t always make amazing work, embrace your artwork which people didn’t like, and not because of you couldn’t receive likes on Instagram do not give up on your style.
