01. Davyboii
Modern and sophisticated – this is what best describes this logo. Keeping in mind the target audience and the places where the logo will be used, the winning designer has created a design that will make the business get noticed way more and stand apart phenomenally from its competitors. Out of 227 designs, the client choose this design as the winner, and we choose it as one of the ‘Best 11 at Designhill’ for December.

02. Over The Mountain
Over the Mountain is a cabin rental company that operates in the Smoky Mountain area. The client had launched a contest for logo design. While posting the contest, the client mentioned that they wanted their logo to evoke the feeling of home and trust.

The winning designer created an icon in the form of a shield that has been designed as a mountain at the top. Inside the icon, they have added an image of a house.The design not only relates to the company name perfectly but also evokes the feeling of home and trust.
The brand name has been written on the centre of the shield along with the slogan ‘Smoky Mountain Cabin Rentals’. The client received 198 designs for the contest, out of which this design was chosen as the winner.
03. Green Gorilla Outdoors
Green Gorilla Outdoors (GGO) is a company that specializes in design products for outdoor activities like hunting, shooting, fishing, etc. The client had launched a contest for logo design. The winning designer created a circular shaped design featuring an image of a gorilla standing in an outdoor location. The brand name has been written just below the image.

To match the company name, the designer has used a lot of green color in the design. ‘Creativity and engineering to perform, always’ – the slogan of the company has been written on the upper half area of the design. Overall, the design evokes feelings of excitement, innovation, safety, and assurance. And this was exactly what the client wanted!
04. Dew Drop Art
Dew Drop Art sells custom art paintings. They sell unique, custom made art pieces to discerning collectors. Since the company is associated with the art and design industry, its logo had to be artistic. The winning designer has created a simple yet sophisticated and memorable logo.

The logo features the image of a dew drop designed in an artistic way. The name and the slogan of the company have been written just below the icon. Although the drops are designed in blue color, the designer has also created a grey colored drop icon to evoke the feelings of modesty and authority. The client received 217 entries for the contest, but it was ‘Alqiano2017’ who took home the winning award.

05. Money And The Happy Way Of Living
Money and the Happy Way of Living is basically the title of a book based on accounting and finance. The client / author had launched a contest for book cover design. While posting the contest, the client mentioned that they wanted a cover that conveys personal and financial happiness.

Keeping the title and the summary in mind (which the client had mentioned in the design brief) of the book, the winning designer has created an animated image of a happy guy standing in the limelight, which depicts the sign of victory and happiness.
The best thing about this design is the way the designer has put the content i.e. the title, subtitle, tagline, and the name of the author. Also, the decision of using green color stood out great. Although the color is usually associated with nature, yet implementing it in this book cover design made the cover unique and increased its chances of getting noticed in the retailers’ bookshelves.
06. The Hope Center Of Hendersonville
The Hope Center of Hendersonville is a non-profit day program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The client wanted a logo that is fun, creative, as well as professional. The designer has created an icon-based logo featuring an image of a butterfly with the company name written below it.

The reason behind using the ‘butterfly’ symbol in the design is because it represents faith, transformation, and freedom. And this is what this company offers through its program. Out of 291 designs, it was ‘Adel@rt’ who took home the winning award.
07. Homebrew Competitions
Homebrew Competitions is an organization that creates instructional beer brewing videos. Their focus is basically on home brewing, beer, and drinks. The winning designer has created an icon in the form of a shield, where the upper half features the image of a grain and the lower half features the name of the company.

To relate the design with the company name, the designer has also used an image of a trophy that is rewarded to the champions of competitions. Overall, the designer has incorporated all the elements that were asked for by the client.
08. Puck University
Just like the name, Puck is a university. The contest was launched for their ice hockey team logo. In the design brief, the client had clearly mentioned that just like their university logo, they wanted to have a hog as a mascot in their team logo as well.

Dorma Sleep Lab is basically a company that offers comprehensive reviews to understand sleep, snoring, or sleep apnea troubles and find lasting and tailored solutions for their customers. The client had launched a contest for website design.

10. MCF Sports Breaks
MCF Sports Breaks is an online resale company for sports cards (baseball, hockey, and football, and basketball) and specializes in group case breaks. The client had launched a contest for logo and business card design. The design created by the winning designer is unique, making it stand apart from competitors’ designs.

11. Pterafier
Pterafier is a personal YouTube gaming channel. The client raised a requirement for a logo design that will be used in the place of their profile picture and intros to stream and videos. While posting the contest, the client mentioned that they wanted to have a design that terrifies their opponents.

The winning designer has fulfilled the requirement perfectly and came up with a design featuring a scary pteranodon. All the designers came up with great designs, but it was “Queenshambhala” who took home the winning award.
