Right Track Consulting firm needed a nice stationery design for their company and they chose Designhill’s crowdsourcing design platform for launching a contest for the same. The design contest received timely response from stationary designers who participated in the contest with full enthusiasm and keen interest. The client offered feedbacks and follows ups during the course of the contest and conveyed his requirements well so as to facilitate designers in their designing job. The result was the Right Track Consulting had number of choices and creative stationary design patterns at their disposal. However, the stationary design liked by the client was the design work of a graphic designer named Henry Crown. Through the design contest Henry received prize money of $159.

Winning stationary design is a perfect example to talk about the changing clients’ interests towards modest designs. The clients’ like the designs that are incorporated well into their business specifications and requirements. The winning design is as per client’s design brief in which the client had clearly stated details about his company’s working and business model.

The client is a consulting firm that offers human resources services to small and medium sized non-profit firms. So, they wanted their stationery designs to bear their company name, their logo, contact number, email address and the company website’s URL as well as their services. They wanted all the services on a sidebar of their letterhead. Many designers had the chance to showcase their designs. However, the stationary design by Henry Crown was selected as the winning entry since it was perfectly according to the design specifications. Though the client had not suggested any specific color scheme but wanted that childish or playful themes should be avoided. The stationary items that were to be designed were envelopes, note/compliment slips and letterheads. They wanted their services like ‘Workforce Planning & Succession Management, Process Evaluation & Improvement, Executive Development’ and more, to appear on the sidebar of their letterhead.

A designer made perfect use of black and white colors while designing the stationary and kept the design simple and elegant. The company logo appears so gracefully on the upper left portion of the business cards and the letterheads; while envelopes bear the logo in the middle of the design giving it a classy look. Contrasting logo designs in black and white color schemes that too on the contrasting backgrounds offer a very elegant glare to the stationary items. Total of 23 entries sent in by 5 designers was part of the design contest from which the winner was selected.
