Made after I learned three (then five) storks were shot down.Malta is a divided country in many respects, few as evident as our views on hunting. 2018 saw beautiful, protected species brutally murdered. On the 10th of August 5 storks were illegally shot dead, over the following months the death toll continued to climb. If only hunters and birdwatchers adjusted their aim a little and stopped targeting each other; together they could instead have a shot at making Malta a greener place - it serves both their interests. We need birds to argue over.I hope to see hunters and environmentalists unite to safeguard the islands’ avian population because at the end of the day, if there are no more birds, neither side has anything left worth arguing for.The Maltese authorities’ lack of serious action on environmental matters proves its disregard for the island’s well being in the long term.
Visual artist based in Malta, inspired by Malta and her story. I'm typically found lounging somewhere beautiful with my drawing tablet and my small black and white dog working on my next project, be it an illustration, design or event
