Watercolor Lettering Tutorial

Ingrid V. Rivera Díaz was born in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. From an early age she was interested in arts, crafts and calligraphy. Ingrid has always been fascinated by letter styles, what they look like and what they represent. She liked to imitate the letters she saw on diplomas and certificates and that interest in letters that she cultivated during her adolescence developed when she began to do calligraphy work.

The love for calligraphy and the business experience that she has had in recent years as a business owner with her husband, led her to create her own company called "Be Creative by Ingrid", through which she is dedicated to offering workshops of watercolor and "lettering".

In 2020 she made a collaboration with Zebra Pen USA in the Zebra Mildliners Highlighters campaign through their social media.

During 2020, she completed the Entrepreneurial Training program of the Centro Empresarial para la Mujer (CEM), where she had the opportunity to be interviewed at Noticentro al Amanecer (local morning news tv show) and has been a speaker at business events aimed at Women together with the Small Business Administration, an agency that provides support to entrepreneurs and the CEM.

Outside of the artistic environment, Ingrid was a leader of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) for the past 12 years, where she held various positions in her unit and district as Advancement Committee Director and Assistant Scoutmaster.

Currently, Ingrid lives in Cabo Rojo with her husband and children and practices calligraphy daily. Her products are available at her web store BeCreativebyIngrid.com and in two locations in Puerto Rico.
