Max (HBO Max) introduces a fresh Black-and-White logo, reminding HBO branding
The online streaming service provider Max, earlier (HBO Max), has unveiled a new logo design. The
Warner Bros. Discovery has introduced a monochromatic black-and-white color scheme that reminds
viewers of the famous HBO logo.
The streaming service dropped its shiny blue appearance for a monochrome color scheme. The rebrand
updated on its social handles lately. The new brand continues to be rolled out across all marketing
materials, which will take about a few months.
In 2020, Warner Bros. launched its first streamer service named “HBO Max.” It was introduced with a
deep purple color scheme. However, in 2022, when AT&T spun off the film and television studio to
merge with Discover, Inc., the newly formed company showed its intentions to undergo brand
transformations.
In 2023, the service was relaunched as Max. its library was integrated with Discovery+ switching to blue
color scheme from the purple ones. The ‘a’ letter in Max logo encapsulates the vowel “O” that’s in
HBO’s logo.
The blue color was chosen on the basis that it was the most liked color globally. But now, the color
scheme has taken a drastic change with black and white added to it.
This logo design change with a revamped color scheme hints at reminding viewers of HBO.
