Background: my company offers workshops where people learn how many different and seemingly independent disciplines can cooperate together to achieve great results. We do this with relatively simply woodworking projects, but translate the main take aways to how information security, business continuity, crisis management, and secure software development are (or better said, should be) managed within large organizations. In the past the concept of games was popular for this, but we have learned that actually building something together works better.

Design requirements: (1) the logo must have the current brand ID color in it (RGB = 255,208,0), and (2) the main element(s) of the logo should look good when blown up to poster size, but still be recognizable when shrunken to a very small format (e.g. favicon).

I don't upload our current logo on purpose, because I don't want the ideas to be constraint to what we had.

Please, try not to use the obvious elements like locks or shields!

OK, I realized something after the first designs came in. I am looking for a logo that conveys a feeling with a graphical element. A pure text-based logo is not what I am looking for. Sorry, should have made that clear from the start. Of course, that doesn't means that all text is off limits. But I'd like to have it some form of a non-text element in it.

Our audience consists of IT professionals and business managers that want to improve their organization's security processes. Most of them have done information security, business continuity, crisis management, or development of secure software for a long time, but find it difficult to get the rest of their organization to do what is needed to reach the next level of maturity. We help them to find out pragmatic way to achieve results in a short time.
Who are your top 3 competitors? If possible, please provide their links as well

I don't think there are other organizations doing this type of workshop. This is our exclusive niche, I think. At least, I have never seen another party doing this.
Where all will you use your logo?

Other fonts: Please don't use fonts like MS Comic. My preference would be not to use a serif font either, because of readability issues when scaling.
