    Sei is a general purpose scripting programming language. It is strictly based on a subset, a very small subset, of the C and C++ programming languages, with compatible syntax and slightly altered semantics. It's designed to make scripting easy, powerful, rich but at the same time, not deviate much from the C/C++ family, syntactically and semantically. Sei is focused on simplicity, it works with a very small subset of C and C++, stripping away lots.

    Sei is meant to be open source, and designed in the open. Sei aims to appeal everyone and aims to be a day to day scripting language. Virtually all scripting languages start with very esoteric syntax and semantics, sei just starts from a subset of C and C++, thus embraces familiarity.

    The logo text should be lowercase, for simplicity. Some keywords: scripting, simplicity, seed, building blocks, bricks. The logo should not contain any slogans. The font should be playful. I'm looking for something beautiful, simple and obvious, but at the same time, I do not mean to say that something complex cannot look simple, or beautiful. It's up to your imagination. I'm looking for something with depth. Beyond the text, I'm looking for abstract graphics as well alongside the text. Please refer to the visual briefs below.

    The name sei comes from C which is pronounced "see", the sei name is an alteration of that and the word "see" and "say", or "talk". Because of the focus and fascination with C and C++, for a while I considered naming sei "B", in the tradition of naming programming languages after alphabet letters, with the intention of saying that sei is intentionally lower for being a scripting language, simple, and is not mean to replace C and C++.
