    Thanks for considering my contest. I'll try to be as clear as I can.


    A bit of background: Tokyo International Music School is a new evening music school opening later this year. As a new business, our branding is a clean slate, and the logo design will be at the centre of that.


    Our products will be centred around classical music, so the style should resonate with that. Our target audience is the international community in Tokyo, in particular those sending their children to one of the many international schools in the city. The values of our organisation will be those that embody our approach to music: elegant, with attention to detail, and professional. With this in mind, I would like the central symbol of the organisation to be the greek lyre (as this reinforces the classical nature of our school). Ideally, I am looking for an unfussy depiction of this, or perhaps a minimalist interpretation of its form. I think it should be clear what it is, without being too detailed and frilly!


    The typography of the business name is very important to us. I realise it's a very long name, so finding a way to package it all in could be tricky. I'll leave that to your imaginative minds! Again, I think typefaces with clean and clear lettering will work best, so please avoid anything too curly or busy.


    As yet, I don't have a specific colour scheme in mind for the business, so the colours used in the logo will almost certainly gain wider coverage across the rest of the branding later on. In line with the values above, I would prefer to go for more 'premium' darker hues, perhaps dark blues or greens. Again, please use your imagination with this, as I'm very open to ideas.

    Most of this information is above, but essentially we will be providing musical opportunities for the English speaking community in Tokyo. Students can join choirs, orchestras, jazz bands etc. as an outlet for their musical talents. Most international students attend one of the many fee-paying international schools in Tokyo.
