    We sell local Japanese goods online to Japanese nationals living overseas as expats, on business or in further education. Mainly focused on grocery items unavailable in the local marketplace, the product range will however also cater to the global demand for Japanese arts and trends, such as manga, anime, characters, hobbies and gaming.
    Japanese consumers demand the highest levels of quality and service. The logo design should as much as possible incorporate the company's values of Quality, Speed, Integrity and Respect.
    The website design will be clean, modern and minimalist with a plain white background. The logo design should fit with this.
    I think it's important to convey quickly through the logo [not only the text] but minimal accompanying graphics that the site caters to Japanese clientele buying Japanese goods. That it is a shopping site [cart/basket?] and that it offers an express service. We expect a high proportion of purchases to be impulse decisions that the buyers would not make if they felt they needed to wait for a long time to receive their goods.
    Although strong, please consider the incorporation of Hinomaru [Japan's rising sun, red circle from their flag] imagery or red font characters. [just my ideas, see concept file attached]
