Higher Horizons: Psychological, Training, and Consultation Services

Higher Horizons is a private practice that specialize in treating children and adolescents exposed to psychological trauma (e.g., abuse, neglect, medical trauma, community violence etc.). This practice also provide training and consultation services to child-serving systems working with trauma exposed children (e.g., schools, detention centers, etc)

Target Audience: families and child-serving systems

Mood/Feel of Logo: logo that evokes hope and promotes resilience.

Style: Something slightly whimsical, artistic, and sophisticated.

what I want people to think of with Logo: I want to convey the idea that we can extend beyond life's difficult moments and reach higher horizons.

Logo Look: possible imagery Bright sun, stormy cloud, silhouette of child or hand.

Avoid: Primarily Text based logo

Initial thoughts about Logo: initially envisioning stormy clouds in muted gray and blues at the bottom of the logo, the sun is rising from behind the clouds, and inside the sun we have a HH ( company initials) we also see a faint child silhouette or a faint hand extending upward layered behind initials. . Arched over the sun we have Higher Horizons. At the bottom of the logo we have Psychological, Training, and Consultation Services. This is alot and I think this logo is a bit complicated. I'm good with designers attempting to create this idea, reworking this idea, or presenting something completely different. ALSO NOTED ABOVE I AM OPEN TO DESIGNER CREATIVITY. IF YOU HAVE A DIFFERENT VISION WITH THE INFORMATION PROVIDED PLEASE SUBMIT.

Artist/illustrators I like: Dr. Seuss I love the whimsical and fun nature of his illustrations and Kadir Nelson I love his colors and the way images pop. Visually, I like these artists, but I am not a designer. I want a image that will work well for digital, print, and television. I also want t logo that will work on various print products ( t-shirts, paper, mug, etc..) I defer to your professional opinion.
