Design our Food and Beverage Menu!

What is your organization name?
Moonstone
Describe what your organization or product does and its target audience
We are a luxury private villa rental located in Thailand. We need to do up a lot of marketing material in the next few weeks and there is a good chance that the winner of this contest will be someone we will want to work with on a few other projects 1-on-1 in order to keep designs consistent.
www.moonstonesamui.com is our website. our logo was designed right here on designhill and we are excited to find the next great design for our menu.

Travel & Hotel
Describe what you want designed
We need to get our Food and Beverage Menu designed. This will be multi-page and we are looking for a very sophisticated and tasteful design where less is more. Think Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton as design references. You can also look at our website at www.moonstonesamui.com to get an idea as to the villa itself.
We want the menu to have our logo on the cover and the word Menu.
We want the menu to have 'tabs' so the reader can easily flip from one section to another. The tabs will be called:
1. Welcome
2. Breakfast
3. Daytime
4. Dinner
5. Beverages
Each section should then be designed as a 2-page spread so when the user opens to the 'Dinner' tab for example, all items are designed to look great when using the full 2-page spread. Some sections will have more copy than others but each section needs to be designed to take up the 2-page spread.
I will attach some references but we are really looking for the designer to bring some great style and layout designs to the table.
I would like the size to be close to A4, but it would be double that when opening and looking at a 2-page spread. It could be customized to a size that you think would look and feel great in the customer's hands however so we are open to all design options.
If you want to add stock photos to the menu design, please go ahead but keep in mind the number one priority is to have the design look sleek, modern and sophisticated.
I will also upload a word document with our copy as it currently stands. I do not expect you to lay out the entire menu with ALL copy until i select the winning design, but it is enough for you to get an idea as to how much copy there is, and i would like to see the 'tabs' mocked up and a mockup of a couple of 2-page spreads (eg. daytime and beverages).
For the a la carte daytime menu i would like to see the Thai name for the food that is listed and then on the same line the english description and then further over to the right on the same line the price. There is a reference photo i have attached that shows a little bit about what i mean.
The final deliverables I will be looking for are:
- your working project file (AI or Photoshop)
- a print-ready file that can do directly to a professional print shop
- a PDF of the final file
Use your creative skills and wow us with your concept. Sleek, sophisticated, modern. Simple, elegant. Not too busy.

Must include features in your menu design
Feel free to use the logo, provided as an attachment in the references however you like, although we do like the idea of just using the 'M' symbol for the menu and not using all the text that says Moonstone and Luxury Perfected.
Is there anything that should be avoided?
not looking for something too busy. simple and elegant and high end.
Required file format (Menu Design)
  • (1) Psd
  • (2) Ai
  • (3) Other - PDF
