Mobile design for dating and real time meeting App

Whats the name of your app?
Benevolent Bachelor
Briefly describe what your app does
Benevolent Bachelor facilitates real-time meetings to connect users for various reasons.

Users propose meetings and are contacted in-app by users who would like to meet-up for those specific, location-based meetings. Meetings are time sensitive and location based, allowing users to propose meetings based around specific events. Have an extra ticket to the game? Don't want to show up dateless to a wedding? Just don't want to go to a restaurant solo? Benevolent Bachelor.
If you have an existing website, please list it here.
HeyUp.Co (We are re branding the HeyUp App and transforming it into Benevolent Bachelor)
What ideas do you have for the style/theme of your app?
The App needs a full retooling of the entire design/appearance, as well as a logo design.

We want to represent our idea of the true "benevolent bachelor". He's older, successful, unmarried, and unconcerned with changing this. We need the app to convey a sense refinement, a measure of success, clean cut, mature, confident and competent, safe and sane.

Key themes:
-Sophistication
-sensuality (nothing obscene, but sexy)
-casual, non-committal, no pressure
Describe the screens and the main work flows for your app
The screen users are greeted with is our "Radar" screen. From here, users navigate the app by accessing the side menu on the left. Our these screens, the most frequently used will likely be the messages screens and the "Users Nearby" screen.

  • IPhone
Describe your organization and specific set of customers.
Benevolent Bachelor will be a social networking app that combines elements from dating apps with networking/meet up apps.

Essentially, Benevolent Bachelor's core mission is to connect clients in-app and facilitate in-person meetings real-time for various purposes ranging from romance, professional networking, friendship, and sex. Benevolent Bachelor is not strictly a dating app and we do not intend to sell "love". We need a designer that understands our parallels with dating apps without locking us into a dating app category. We do not want to look like a dating App.

Users propose meetings and are contacted in-app by users who would like to meet-up for those specific, location-based meetings. These meeting proposals will be varied but we expect users in need of companionship (typical "forever bachelors") will propose meetings out of the sheer desire to have companionship for otherwise lonely activities. We are not pitching Benevolent Bachelor as a dating experience to connect singles and make lasting love connections. Instead meeting proposals are time sensitive with no strings attached. Have an extra ticket to the game? Don't want to show up dateless to a wedding? Just don't want to go to a restaurant solo? Benevolent Bachelor.

The app is a great way to score a free meal and good conversation

We've bought the HeyUp App (HeyUp.co) and are redesigning it into the new Benevolent Bachelor.
Is there anything that should be avoided?
Avoid leaning to heavily in the direction of a dating app. We hope to avoid falling into the trappings of a typical dating app.

Of course, you can incorporate themes of connection and romance, but don't exclusively rely on this.
