How to design a flyer with the help of Designhill?
Are you ready to have an impressive flyer size of your own? If yes, Designhill’s intuitive flyer maker simplifies this task for you.
Choose from a wide array of pre-designed flyer templates that you can customize in just a few clicks. If it’s something that you don’t want, bring out your creative side and start creating a flyer from scratch. Taking the help of our templates won’t hinder you from uploading your own photos.
Personalize the flyer size as per your needs using the text, icon, symbol, etc. of your choice. Don’t forget to check the preview section to see whether any part of your flyer has been chopped off.
Considering the flyer size, the content that you want to put on your flyer should be brief. As the area is limited, do not go on a one-size-fits-all mindset. Your readers will be overwhelmed by seeing a lot of information in a tiny space. Just include the essentials and leave the unnecessary information.
Blurry, irrelevant, and low-quality photos can piss off your customers. Even worse, they may consider your brand as an unprofessional one for that. No matter what, always use a high-quality and clear picture in your flyer.
Generally, a test print is given to you before printing the whole flyer order. Things look different online and offline, so you can have a better idea when you take a test print. This also lets you check the quality of the print while proofreading for one more time.
Flyer mistakes to avoid
Some of the biggest flyer design mistakes thatone should avoid are —
Too much visual clutter
Irrespective of flyer dimensions, it should look visually appealing to grab the attention of the target audience. Adding too many visual elements or information makes a flyer look cluttered. People usually stay away from holding such flyers.
A flyer should be able to make the audience understand what it is selling or promoting in just a single glance. Your message should be clear and people should be able to understand it easily. Include all the vital information like venue, contact, etc. but don’t repeat the same information again and again.
Low-quality photos and images
No matter which image you add to your flyer, it should enhance the visual appeal. Pick graphics that go well with your message as well as promotion. Steer clear of irrelevant imagery as it may confuse the audience.
Using upper case letters
Nobody likes to get unwanted attention for all the wrong reasons; so does your flyer. Using capital letters in your flyer design looks hurtful to the eyes. Be selective about the use of upper cases and exclamation marks. Use them for highlighting an important piece of information.
1. A flyer should help you reach your audience — the main purpose of a flyer is to help a business get exposure. It reaches your audience in several ways such as — newspaper insert, door-to-door mail drop, instore distribution, and street distribution.
2. It should have creative flair — promoting through flyer leaves enough space for creativity. You do not just want your flyer to look amazing but emphasize the main message. Most of the flyers come either in A4 or A5 sizes. A folded version is also a great alternative.
3. It should cut down your advertising expenses — unlike other marketing materials or channels, flyers do not consume a huge budget.
4. It should generate leads — the right flyer size not only attracts an audience but also generates leads. So, your flyer should be focused on lead generation too.
5. It should be creative — flyer advertising hardly has any limitations. You get the creative freedom to showcase your information in an eye-catching way.
