What ideas do you have for the style/theme of your website design?
bell-iconLast Modified on September 21, 2020, 03:07 pm
Clean/simple, fun, natural design that is attractive to busy parents and easy to search through when looking for Occupational Therapy for their children.

I like more natural, spontaneous pictures of children playing/interacting, including natural vegetation/scenes. (Not clinical, school-like or hospital-like.)
What websites can designers draw inspiration from?

What do you like about these site?

I like the whole page being the picture, and the ‘movie’ with few words, but using spoken words.
It was very engaging.
We could have us describing what we do as pictures of the children come and go.
Each staff member could be recorded sharing about themselves.

I like the large, softer pictures of people/children on each page;
I like the background picture that’s out of focus, with the writing over it on this page;
I like the Menu in the corner of every page, instead of having the list of pages over the top;
I also like the more relaxed font- not as perfect and clinical
What would you like on each page?

1- Home Page: Large pictures of happy children, possibly outside (not clinical), with a brief explanation of what we do; and with links to About Us (page 2) and Getting Started (page 3) and Contacting us (page 4).

2- About Us: Including pictures of staff and a summary written by each one about themselves;
and What we do: summary of pediatric OT areas/treatments possibly with large faded picture/s behind of children playing etc.

3- Get Started: Another large picture and an area to write which insurances we cover;
and Forms: links to our forms that the families need to fill out to start therapy.

4- Contact Us and Gallery of pictures from the clinic.
List any colors, themes or other elements that you don't want included.

I don't want hard, solid lines; with lots of areas that are white.
Want the Spring colors- like the ones I've chosen (not red, black, brown, or the dark primary colors).
Is there anything else you would like to communicate to the designers?
bell-iconLast Modified on September 21, 2020, 03:06 pm
I want the website to be easy for busy parents who are stressed about their children, who've either been newly diagnosed or have tried other therapists, to be able to sense the mission of my company through the website: Bringing happiness to children everywhere; recognizing the potential in each child; empowering the parents.

They won't want a busy, business-like website.

That's why I want lots of pictures of children (all ages- from babies to teenagers) throughout the 4 pages.
Another aspect of my clinic and my values for my company is that it is 'home-like'. When they walk into the clinic it's like a living room; each therapy room and sensory gym has the spring-like colors I've listed; there's a kitchen/eating area and even the bathroom is like in the home.
