ARX Carolina is a construction and architecture company. We design & build custom homes, renovations, and do a lot of historical restoration in Downtown Charleston. We are located in Charleston South Carolina and we got the name ARX Carolina from an engraving by Arnold Montanus. (https://walledcitytaskforce.org/2007/10/25/arx-carolina/) This is a link with more information about the early settlment called ARX Carolina. We chose ARX Carolina because of the story behind it, basically ARX Carolina was an early settlment belived to be in North Carolina, South Carolina or Florida back in the late 1500 and early 1600. It was a triangular fort based on contemporary European designs, and includes corner bastions, wooden revetments, a moat, drawbridge, and gate. We basically want our business and our logo to depict a modern day version of the early settlement of ARX Carolina. We want our customers to feel as if we are the modern day ARX Carolina Redesigning, Restoring, and Building the new Charleston South Carolina and one day doing the same for South and North Carolina. I will attach a few images of the early settlement, a map of Charleston, a few important historical and new buildings of Charleston.
