The Competition Format
Ten teams will participate in the competition format, following the same rules as the 2019 World Cup in England and Wales. In a round-robin stage, each team will play the other once, with a win earning two points and a tie earning one point.
The top four teams advance to the semi-finals, where the winners will play in the championship game. The ICC Cricket World Cup Super League 2020–23 will serve as the primary qualification route for the competition, granting direct entrance to the top seven teams, including the hosts, India.

The top two teams from the 2023 World Cup Qualifier Play-off, along with the top three teams from the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2, the remaining five teams in the Super League, and the top three teams from League 2 will compete in the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier to determine the final two teams that will qualify for the World Cup.
